OSCAR SOLSONA MARTÍNEZ
CONQUERED SUMMITS
Born in Barcelona in 1978, I have known Andreu for a few years now, I knew him as a roommate, in a shared flat with Jordi for 3 years.
My time in sports has always been sporadic, short periods of time and many types of sports (taekwondo, soccer, chess, swimming, capoeira…)
My passion for the mountains came to me late, it was not until I finished my studies that I began to go on a trip to the mountains of Catalonia.
But my definitive step was after a knee injury in a ski accident in 2016. From that moment on, I set myself the goal of recovering completely to achieve the first important challenge with Andreu’s company, the GR-20 of Córcega. A long and demanding journey, with high mountain passes, where we suffered and enjoyed the route very much in the company of Daria.
From this challenge, I have been Andreu’s partner in various summits of the project as well as great routes around the world such as the great journey through the Reunion Island.
A project that has allowed me to travel to many countries in the world with different cultures, where I have been able to meet and enjoy many peaks, each one a unique experience where I have met people with the same passion and overcome increasingly important challenges such as Kilimanjaro.
I hope I can continue accompanying you in more summits and enjoy together new challenges within this wonderful Top Summits of the World project.
Health and mountains!!

By way of introduction, I consider myself a person with a competitive spirit and a strong connection to self-improvement, who is stimulated by challenges as well as new experiences outside of one’s comfort zone.
Chance wanted me to meet the head of the expedition (Andreu) as a result of a series of nightlife outings in the Barcelona area, where I was fortunate to meet a group of people who, to this day, are part of the best group of friends you can have. . With them I have experienced hilarious situations that push me to follow them to the highest points, and months far away, on the planet.
In this sense, in addition to the encouragement that I already project it by itself, I joined the “Top Summits” project precisely because of the challenge that, for me, we have posed based on previous experiences to the expeditions:
- Camino de Santiago
- Backcountry Highlands in Scotland
- Ascent to the peak of Palas. (Lo Portalet, Aragon)
Since I was 10 years old, sport has been a fundamental piece, if not the axis of my life, being the sports practiced the following:
- Basketball
- Dumbbells
- Boxing
- Archery
- Others: Swimming, futsal, tennis, taekwondo, cycling.
Some things I like: reading, beer, music.
Things I don’t like: discos, crowds, reggeton.

Born in Igualada in 1982. I met Andreu and I don’t even remember him. They are one of those friends that you have known for so long that you do not remember the first time you saw them, but does it matter?
We had already met in other times and more “partying” places, but where we really had the opportunity to get to know each other more intensely was when life brought us together with another participatory member of the Top Summits (Oscar) to share a flat in Barcelona for 3 years.
A time that despite all the personal changes I experienced I remember as one of the most beautiful of my life and of course this is thanks to Andreu and Oscar.
I have always considered myself a very restless person, especially internally, where I cannot stop wondering what we are doing here and if we are making the most of the time we are living in with dignity.
This makes me have many concerns and hobbies and I try not to abandon myself to monotony.
I don’t have enough space in this section to describe all the good things that accompanying Andreu in this crazy project brings me, but I will try to summarize them: sharing time with good friends, traveling and seeing new places, playing sports, improving myself, participating in a great project, generating quality memories, creating space for me as an individual person that will make me a better partner and father later, sharing experiences, disconnecting from everyday life, and above all having done something that adds to life in general.
I wish Andreu the best in this great project, I don’t know if he will be able to complete it 100%, but I am sure that he will reach the maximum that his body and mind give him. I will accompany him whenever I can. Thanks Andreu for creating this opportunity for everyone.

From Tous, as the protagonist of the project, we have known each other since kindergarten, where we began to be linked to sport by hitting the ball, more or less unfortunately, in the Cérvola Blanca courtyard. After a successful second position in school games, we went on to play in CF Igualada as a teenager, to end up coinciding again in our beloved UE Tous with a mythical promotion to Second Regional. As there is more variety in the world of sports, Andreu turns to foot races, and I do more towards two wheels.
He is passionate about cycling, especially on the road, but he cannot say no to his love of hiking, especially in the mountains. That is why, coinciding with a summer vacation in my second home, Andorra, I accompanied him precisely with Mireia and Oriol, also a friend from my youth, to make the roof of the Principality, the Comapedrosa, for me the first roof of the Top Summits, but we hope that not the last.
Firm step, and fits very high. And good luck in this innovative, original and encouraging project.

The constant contact with nature and rural environments is what opened the doors to hiking for me and this to mountaineering and mountaineering.
I am Jordi Girona, trained as an industrial technical engineer, born in 1979 and resident in the Selva del Camp (Baix Camp) and when I was very little, my parents took me and my brother to the mountains: the Pyrenees, Pre-Pyrenees, Els Ports or the Apujarras were common places where we camped, visited lakes, towns and abandoned hermitages or collected mushrooms. For many years of my childhood, I was a regular attendee of the recreation and camps that were organized in my town, these all had a hiking aspect as a canonical basis. Contact with nature, then, was daily and habitual, therefore, and without any doubt, this has become a key fact in my life.
During a somewhat hectic and somewhat turbulent puberty and adolescence, I was away from the mountains and nature for about 5 or 6 years, and finally a tragic event made me return. With the hand of my older brother, at the age of 22 I crowned the roof of Catalonia: the Pica. That mountain that does not leave anyone who steps on it indifferent. Since then there has been no pause and with some ups and downs, my contact with the mountains has been constant.
The mountains themselves have given me some of the most rewarding experiences of my life, but they have also brought me new hobbies such as cycling, wildlife photography and ornithology, while at the same time making me meet new friends.
We met Andreu during the preparations for the ascent of Kilimanjaro, which we did satisfactorily. He told me about his spectacular life project: TOP SUMMITS OF THE WORLD. Having been impressed by the magnitude of the project, I decided to accompany him on some of these summits, the ones I have always wanted to do and now two have been achieved (Kilimanjaro and Moldoveanu) and I have some more already scheduled.
No one knows the summits we will do together, but I hope there are many, because mountaineering is not just any hobby, sometimes I am not sure it is even a hobby, it is philosophy, it is perseverance, it is passion and intrinsically it is environmentalism and love for nature and wild spaces and as free as possible from human manipulations, in short, it is everything that any human being can do much better.
At a time in my life when I was looking for answers, the mountain gave them to me and they were so simple that I would never have found them anywhere else. The answers were: contemplate the world, admire it and enjoy it but do so with the respect it deserves, as if it were a part of you.

The connection with nature has always been something special in my life. Everything that the earth, the sand, the trees, the flowers, the sea and the mountains provide, cannot be limited to words. Despite this close relationship with the natural world, there has not been a special enthusiasm to discover these places in a more vertical and properly mountainous sense until relatively recently, with the first climbing to two TOP peaks, including the Slieve Donard as part of the fantastic TSOW project of Andreu, in May 2025.
Toughness and sensitivity are two of the elements that largely define me as a person, along with an infinite curiosity to learn, every day, from each experience and from each new place to discover. This is one of the reasons to set new goals to achieve and to share their learning.
With the good memories of different routes of the Camino de Santiago, between the French and Portuguese Way, as well as some of the 100 small peaks of Catalonia such as Puig d’en Cama or Miranda de Puigcerver, and also some GR routes, with the desire to continue adding km and elevations!
ANNA CAPDEVILA BONET
CONQUERED SUMMITS:
I live in Gironella, in Berguedà, a privileged region of forests, trails, and mountains that constantly beckon me to go out and hike. I don’t remember the exact moment the mountains became a part of me, but I know it all started when I was little: sharing camping trips, stories, and my first climbs.
In the group, I learned to love the mountains and everything that surrounds them: walking without haste, observing the landscape, dipping my feet in the icy water of the stream, breathing the crisp morning air, and sharing long conversations as the paths climbed toward the summit. Those weekend excursions, the free time, and the camaraderie of the group taught me that the mountains are not just a landmark, but a way of being. I experienced my first ascents of Canigó and Pica d’Estats, among others, and hiked the Camí dels Bons Homes from top to bottom. Since then, hiking has ceased to be just an activity and has become a way of life.
For me, the mountains are energy and balance. They help me disconnect in order to reconnect, return to the present, breathe deeply, and feel alive. They fill me with adrenaline, make me smile, calm me, and remind me who I am.
Professionally, I’m a social educator, and I’m passionate about supporting people on their life journeys, helping them discover their potential and believe in their abilities. In a way, this is also like the mountains: summits reached through effort, perseverance, and dedication.
Currently, I’m making time to lose myself among trails and mountains. I’ve had experiences like the Camino de Santiago, the Carros de Fuego (Chariots of Fire), and the Camino de Ronda, all completed in stages because they need to be balanced with family life. Ultimately, I’m not just looking to reach the end, but to savor every step, every landscape, and every moment.
My debut in the Top Summits of the World project took me to the highest peak in Latvia, an adventure that surprised me. Discovering Riga, with its light and architecture, and the enchanting nature of Cēsis, has reminded me that you don’t need high altitudes to experience profound emotions. This experience has opened my eyes to the diversity of landscapes and cultures hidden behind every summit.
Each country has its own essence, and discovering it step by step is a privilege.
Being part of TSOW is a way to connect with the world through nature and respect for the land. It’s a way to keep learning, to explore new horizons, and to remember that every summit—big or small—has a story to tell.
For me, the mountain is a space where everything makes sense: a place where silence speaks, where the mind opens, and where every step connects you with yourself.
We keep adding steps. ✨
