- Location: It is located just a few hours from Marrakech, a city that combines the bustle of markets with the serenity of gardens.
- Route: The most popular climb is from Imlil, a small town that acts as a starting point for adventurers. From there, it takes at least two days to reach the summit.
- Challenge: Although it is not a technically complicated mountain, the changes in climate and altitude can be a challenge for the less experienced.

Toubkal offers panoramic views of the High Atlas that remind us how insignificant we are before the majesty of nature.
2. Mount Cameroon: The volcanic summit
Mount Cameroon, also known as “Mont Fako”, is an active volcano located in southwestern Cameroon. At 4,095 metres (13,000 feet), this summit is famous for its changing landscapes, including dense jungles, lava fields and incredibly diverse wildlife.

- Location: Close to the coastal town of Buea, making the mountain easy to access.
- Route: The most popular route is the “Guinness Trail,” so named because it was the site of a race sponsored by Guinness.
- Natural attractions: During the climb, you will pass through jungles inhabited by monkeys and exotic birds, lava fields that bear witness to past eruptions, and alpine areas with breathtaking views.

3. Kilimanjaro: The King of Africa
No list of African peaks would be complete without mentioning Kilimanjaro. At 5,895 metres, it is the highest mountain in Africa and a global icon. Located in Tanzania, this sleeping giant is one of the Seven Summits and a dream for any mountain lover.

- Location: In the northeast of Tanzania, close to the border with Kenya, and a few kilometers from the famous reserves of the African savannah.
- Route: There are several routes to reach the summit, such as Machame, Marangu or Lemosho, each offering unique landscapes and challenges.

4. Mount Kenya: The hidden gem
Mount Kenya, at 5,199 metres, is the second highest peak in Africa. Although less famous than Kilimanjaro, this Kenyan giant is a much more technical challenge and less frequented, making it an ideal destination for experienced mountaineers.

- Location: Located in central Kenya, a few hours drive from Nairobi.
- Route: There are several routes, with Sirimon and Chogoria being the most popular. However, reaching the main peaks, Batian and Nelion, requires technical climbing skills.
- Natural highlights: During the climb, you will cross alpine meadows, glacial lakes and landscapes that seem out of this world.
Mount Kenya is an adventure that combines beauty and challenge. Its complexity makes it less accessible, but also more special for those who manage to conquer its peaks.
5. Mount Stanley: The Twin Peaks
In the heart of the Ruwenzori Mountains National Park, between Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo, stands Mount Stanley. At 5,109 metres, it is the third highest peak in Africa and one of the most fascinating for its twin peaks and its geographical uniqueness.

- Location: On the border between Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
- Route: The most common route begins in Uganda, crossing the Ruwenzori Mountains National Park. The climb is challenging and requires experience on glaciers.
- Natural attractions: The Margarita summit, one of the three main summits, offers spectacular views of the glaciers and surrounding mountains. The region is also home to unique biodiversity, including giant plants such as lobelias and senecios.
